Cornerstone Medical Recruitment – Cooma NSWContractOn behalf of our client in NSW, we are seeking an experienced Level 2/3 Social Worker for a 3-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension. As the senior Social Worker, you will play an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high-quality social work services to patients/clients of the SNSWLHD to meet their health and wellbeing needs.Key ResponsibilitiesBe accountable for the provision of a professional social work service to promote the health and wellbeing of people in the Southern NSW region.Actively participate in clinical supervision and complete activities associated with clinical supervision as negotiated with the supervisor in order to develop and maintain professional skills and deliver high-quality care.Participate in quality improvement activities and workplace education to contribute to improved care for patients/clients and their families.Participate in performance development processes to contribute to own professional growth and service outcomes.Develop and demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal people.Work independently as a practitioner in the provision of the social work clinical service to provide high-quality clinical care.Provide supervision and support to Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students on clinical placement, and provide supervision to level 1 staff.Assist in the development of procedures and guidelines as required to promote standardised evidence-based practice.About YouTertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload across a regional area.Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice relevant to clinical discipline.Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain.
