What you'll be doing Perform any examination or procedure as required as directed by the Occupational Therapy Manager or their delegate. Ensure the optimum level of patient care is achieved and that all examinations are performed with the highest degree of professionalism, expertise and care. Participate in formal or informal review with regard to work techniques and standards at the discretion of the Occupational Therapy Manager or their delegate. Maintain a high level of commitment to and participation in Continuing Professional Development programs accredited by AHPRA. Actively assist with the supervision of Occupational Therapy Students. Participate in all areas of assessment and treatment relevant to level of training and experience. Ensure the Occupational Therapy Department is maintained in a tidy condition so as to respect its clinical environment. Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care patient care. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise. Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues. Evidence of sound knowledge in Primary Health Care Models with experience working in acute care, community and/or paediatric Occupational Therapy.
