Your Role: Lending Specialists proactively contribute to growth through needs-based member contact, timely & professional advice, exceptional service delivery, and ongoing relationship management with exclusive accountability for Home Lending (e.g. home, investment, & construction loans) within their designated area.
Lending Specialists also undertake generalist branch activities (e.g. process counter transactions) that result in the achievement of performance targets across a variety of measures (including sales outcomes, portfolio growth, member experience, quality & compliance, and service delivery). As such, Lending Specialists will also promote & sell new memberships, deposit products, travel products, & general insurance.
Major Responsibilities: Branch Sales Results Significantly contribute to achievement of regional budgets and targets, through direct sales of home loans and personal loan products by identification of referral. The primary focus is on growing the home loan and consumer lending portfolio. Individual monthly goals are as agreed with your manager and derived from the branch and/or regional budget.
Portfolio Growth as a result of direct action: New member acquisition Home Lending and consumer lending (gross volume) sales, retention, and growth General Insurances sales (Home, Contents, Car) CCI sales Connect Calls Portfolio growth as a result of interactions with members: Deposit Account numbers and balances Retirement Product Specialist referrals Active growth (including retention) Business Development Proactively identify, build and maintain referral networks in the Defence community Build, maintain, and retain relationships with members by establishing rapport, proactively identifying their needs across the full product and services range and offering and delivering suitable solutions Undertake prompt follow up on scheduled phone calls and leads Proactively seek referrals from existing members and other relevant people/businesses Maintain technical knowledge of Australian Military Bank's full product range Assist with local business development activities on, or associated with the base. Provision of excellent and professional member experience that generates increased business and encourages members to promote the Australian Military Bank to others Branch Operations Teller duties Account opening and closing Account and member maintenance (e.g. updating personal information, card ordering, direct debits and credits and member education) Adheres to current policy, procedures and legal requirements Complete tasks within agreed service levels About You Member experience is your passion, you put your member's experience in front of everything else.
You are results driven, self-motivated, a Go-Getter who is proactive yet flexible in operation who is also tech savvy! You will have strong retail lending experience, a solid knowledge of the local residential mortgage products and the real estate market within your regions.
You possess the skill and ability to create new opportunities, convert leads and manage your pipeline. You enjoy engaging with members proactively via outbound calling. You have the natural ability to easily build and maintain relationships through business development with members on base and within the local community.
Technical Skills: Understanding of credit products, application process, and assessment Knowledge of Australian Military Bank's products, processes and systems Verbal, numerical, literacy skills Computer skills (including email, internet, Microsoft applications) Work Experience: At least three years' experience in a customer service and sales Retail Banking sales experience Education and Qualifications: Essential
Year 12 or equivalent Tier 2 Accreditation Desirable:
