About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lending Specialist to support our Heritage Bank, Toowoomba Branches.
As a Lending Specialist, you will have the time to do the warm and fuzzy relationship building stuff that makes a genuine difference to our customers (we call them "members"), ensuring that you are well placed to deliver personalised and appropriate end-to-end Mortgage Loan applications and associated Personal Lending products. You will also be responsible for adding to our success through business development and community engagement.
Your existing skills and experience will be complemented by a range of in-house training programs that will ensure that you are fully competent in all transactional functions, have a robust understanding of all compliance requirements, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of Heritage Bank's range of services and products.
What you'll be doing:

Hold quality conversations with members to determine how Heritage is able to assist with their financial goals. Have flexibility to conduct Mortgage lending appointments with existing and potential members. Execute business development plans in relation to member acquisition. Support and coach other Heritage employees with lending knowledge and community engagement. About you:
We are looking for team members who are driven by achieving positive customer outcomes. You must be a confident communicator, be digitally savvy, and able to quickly grasp new systems. You will have a natural ability to ask lots of questions and build connections, be a self-starter with a demonstrated understanding of mortgage loan products and broader personal banking products, with recent experience in a similar in-branch role. You will have a strong desire to gain a holistic understanding of a member and their needs and clearly articulate what the best solution is and why, whilst never losing sight of the details. You will enjoy working with stakeholders across our business and be passionate about quality lending in a changing work environment.
Why you'll love working here!
