Leisure Contracts Coordinator

Oversee the management and operations of major contracted leisure facilities

Maximise community access to and participation in sports, leisure and physical activity within leisure facilities in partnership with contracted service providers and operators

Drive the delivery of agreed service standards with an aim to continuosly improve physical activity outcomes across Councils contracted leisure facilities

Are you a specialist in the field of aquatic and leisure facility management and operations? If you have industry-based experience in Sport, Recreation and Leisure Facility operations and contract management processes within the Local Government setting, this may be your next career move.

Your role will be to deliver innovative, sustainable and outcomes-based facility management and operations results in partnership with the contracted service provider. You will oversee the operations of a variety of brand new and existing leisure facilities including:


Northcote Aquatic and Leisure Centre

Narrandjeri Stadium

Darebin Community Sports Stadium

Northcote Public Golf Course

Bundoora Park Golf Course


You will manage the licences and leases within the John Cain Memorial Park Complex at the Darebin International Sports Complex (DISC).

In addition to overseeing the management and operations of the above aquatic, leisure and sporting facilities, you will support the delivery of the capital works program in relation to the facilities.

We are seeking an independent contract management specialist in the leisure sector with the ability to develop strong relationships and work in partnership with service providers, the community and Council. You must be a strategic thinker and pay particular attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
