About the role SummitCare are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Teamleader to work on a full time basis.
This position will be located at our residential aged care facility in Smithfield.
As the Leisure & Lifestyle Teamleader at SummitCare, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful leisure and lifestyle programs which enable the wellbeing of residents.
You will work within a team to ensure that these programs promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice.
You will have a strong customer service focus and tailor programs to meet individual resident needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have : Completed or near completion of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, Diversional Therapy, Occupational Therapy or related disciplineHold a Current National Police CheckExperience in a similar role preferably in the aged / health sector will be highly advantageousAbility to be creative and innovative & passionate about bringing meaning to resident's day to day livingAbility to contribute to the assessment of each resident's social, spiritual and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual leisure and lifestyle programs to meet their needsExcellent customer service skills and communication skillsWell-developed computer skillsSelf-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamThe Fine Print For candidates : You must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for our roles, and that candidates may be subject to a range of probity and wellbeing checks in the recruitment process.
