What we need
We currently have a Casual opportunity for a highly motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our friendly team!
What will you do?
Your role will be to support our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator in providing an engaging person-centred leisure and lifestyle program. More specifically, your key duties will include:
Participating and assisting in the development of various activities that take into consideration the residents' social needs and care plan.Encouraging and motivating residents and family to participate in the activities program.Regularly evaluating activities and individual care plans in relation to the residents' social needs.What you bring to the role Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or equivalent) or the desire to complete the qualification.Residential aged care and/or experience working with clients with dementia is preferred.Ability to work as part of a team.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.A can-do attitude with the ability to learn and grow on the job.A friendly outgoing personality.A desire to work in the not-for-profit sector in a rewarding environment.What you get in return Competitive remuneration with access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,550 per FBT year.Ongoing professional development opportunities, including access to our scholarship program.Rewarding role working for a highly respected Tasmanian not-for-profit organization which is a leader in the aged care sector.Access to Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, discounted private health, plus ongoing health and wellbeing activities.How to apply Please provide your resume and a cover letter outlining why you would be suitable for this position via the link on our website by 9.00am Monday 25th November 2024.
