Bordertown Memorial Hospital is seeking dynamic and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants to join our casual pool and enhance the quality of life for our residents.About the Role: As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, you'll play a vital role in encouraging our residents to maintain their independence and participate in a diverse range of meaningful activities.
Your role will be centered around supporting their individual needs, goals, and preferences, all while enhancing their quality of life.Key Responsibilities: Assist with implementing a comprehensive recreational program which contributes to a normal and enjoyable lifestyle for residents under the guidance of the Leisure and Lifestyle coordinator.
Assess and involve residents in diverse activity programmes of their choice and refer to other programs as appropriate under the guidance of the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator.Collaborate with the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to ensure effective teamwork and adherence to policies and procedures.
Uphold the highest standards of welfare, privacy, and rights for all residents in alignment with Bordertown Memorial Hospital and Commonwealth guidelines.Pursue ongoing professional development, complete mandatory training, participate in performance appraisals, and seek peer discussions to enhance skills and job satisfaction.
