About the role The Program Coordinator (Border Surveillance) will be responsible for implementing recommendations from the Centre for Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) review of Tasmania's domestic border interventions.
Develop and implement a process for the collection of information and data. Analyse information and data to support prioritisation, resource allocation activities, and decision-making to address biosecurity risks. Ensure effective and efficient biosecurity risk systems are developed and maintained. Effectively liaise and network with stakeholders. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment 2 years.
Pre-employment requirements The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: Conviction check in the following conviction areas: Crimes of violence Sex related offences Serious drug offences Crimes involving dishonesty Serious traffic offences Any other offences under the Biosecurity Act 2019 , or related legislation A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent level, in a field relating to biosecurity, agriculture or science as relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
