To provide support for the deployment and ongoing maintenance of departmental Business Intelligence tools. The position plays a key role in the development and improvement of business intelligence platforms, providing technical advice to Department divisions and acting as an internal technology subject matter expert when liaising with relevant vendors.

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a permanent, flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight).
Duties To develop and deploy data management and analytics tools for the department by:Applying industry standard approaches to data preparation and sanitation. Developing data landing zones for data integration and ingestion. Assisting the Business Systems, Strategy and Innovation team in the testing, verification and provision of new reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Building test cases and proof of concept (POC) for Data visualisation. Using industry standard Data Analytics approaches and tools to assist the Business Systems, Strategy and Innovation team in providing strategic insights to the department stakeholders. To support the migration of legacy reports to Fabric. To provide technical support in developing solutions across a range of Power Platform tools. Assist the Business Systems Strategy and Innovation Manager with the ongoing operations and implementation of systems upgrades to Agency Business Systems. Provide business systems support services for the Department on intra and inter-agency groups, as required. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor level qualification in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
