Organisation: Victorian Building AuthoritySalary: $92,332 - $104,762 per annum plus superannuationReference: VG/642225We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team member to work within a collaborative and fast-paced team.Ongoing, full-time positionLocation: 242 Exhibition Street MelbournePosition overviewThe Legislative Advisor supports the management of the VBA's functions under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002.
This includes the provision of legislative advice, data compilation, reporting and analysis, file and record management, undertaking research, initiating recommendations, drafting a range of responses, and reporting and coordinating projects.Who we are looking forExperience in providing regulatory and legislative advice including the formulation of recommendations, action plans, and responses.Experience in data compilation, reporting and analysis, and expert use of data collation and analytical tools including Microsoft Excel.Excellent organisational and self-management skills with the ability to use initiative, plan and prioritise work, and handle multiple demands in a deadline-driven environment.Well-developed conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, identify and analyse trends, develop systems and processes, and create interventions and solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate information in a clear and confident manner.Working at the VBA - what you can expectA hybrid working modelChallenging work and a continuous learning environmentFlexible work options including part-time, compressed work schedules, flexible start and finish times, and purchased leave options.VBA CommitmentWe value diversity and inclusion in all forms - gender, religion, ethnicity, LGBTIQ+, disability, and neurodiversity.
