Kennedys is looking for a Legal Support Assistant to join our Sydney office. The successful candidate will contribute to the effectiveness of the Firm by providing a comprehensive administrative support service for Kennedys across all teams.
This role includes administrative duties in the management of litigation for lawyers, data entry for client reporting, drafting documents for internal finance procedures and handling various Legal administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities Work methodically within Service Desk Plus and BigHand prioritising tasks where required.Communicate with the Legal Secretarial team in order to priorities work in a quick and efficient manner and that time is then spent on both the important and urgent tasks.Produce a consistently high quality and quantity of work.Generate a variety of documents from handwritten/type written drafts.Format documents into house style and transcribe digital dictation from BigHand as well as various administrative tasks that the team are asked to undertake.Assist with generating and amending court documents, electronic filing, relevant correspondence and relevant financial procedures required.Attend to expense requests for transfers, payments and trust money.Review court orders and court produced records. Diarise as required.Assist the Legal Secretaries with file maintenance and other general secretarial tasks where assistance is required.Attend to time recording within Elite for fee earners where timesheets are provided.Grow strong, effective relationships within the firm.Follow correct procedures, instructions and protocols which will differ for each team.Required experience Previous Legal Administration experience or similar position is preferred but not essential.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Please let us know if you require any additional support or adjustments to be made in order to submit your application to Kennedys.
