Legal Secretary | Planning & EnvironmentWe are seeking a motivated Legal Secretary to join our growing, national firm in our highly respected Planning and Environment team.If you have a passion for the legal industry and possess exceptional time management and administrative skills, we want to hear from you. You will be joining one of Brisbane's premier Planning and Environment practice groups. We have a friendly and collaborative environment, who place emphasis on your career growth and work/life balance.The roleThe role is within a well-established team which has existing administrative systems and other support personnel.The key duties of the role will include:Drafting various legal documents such as briefs, affidavits, and general correspondenceAssisting with reporting duties on a quarterly, monthly and ad-hoc basisPreparing and issuing tax invoices to clients and assisting with billing queriesScheduling meetings and organising calendarsFile management, saving emails and correspondence to filesAnswering and making phone callsLiaising with stakeholders, including clients, Lawyers, Barristers and PrincipalsOpening new files and undertaking conflict searchesOther general administrative tasksRole requirementsMinimum 3 years secretarial/personal assistant experience in a legal practice or professional services environmentHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsConfidence in building lasting relationships with colleagues and clientsOutstanding time management and a strong commitment to consistencyA natural inclination for taking initiativeA self-starter but also thrives in a collaborative work environmentFamiliarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous, although not necessaryAbout McInnes Wilson LawyersWe are a full-service firm with 53 principals providing high quality legal advisory services across Australia.
