Legal Secretary – Planning and Environment (Brisbane)We are seeking a motivated Legal Secretary to join our growing, national firm in our highly respected Planning and Environment team.

The role Our ideal candidate will have some experience in a general administration or legal secretary role with experience serving a litigation team. Prior experience in a legal setting would be advantageous, especially if you have had dealings with institutional clients in the past. Accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism will be essential in this role, as you will be responsible for supporting our legal team and ensuring that all documents are prepared in a timely manner.
Other duties will include:
Preparing and issuing tax invoices to clients and assisting with billing queriesOpening new files and undertaking conflict searchesAssisting with reporting duties on a quarterly, monthly and ad-hoc basisScheduling meetingsFile management, saving emails and correspondence to filesAnswering and making phone callsLiaising with stakeholders, including clients, Lawyers, Barristers and PrincipalsRole requirements Minimum 1-2 years secretarial experience in a legal practice/professional services environmentHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsConfidence in building lasting relationships with colleagues and clientsOutstanding time management and a strong commitment to consistencyA self-starter but also thrives in a collaborative work environmentFamiliarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous, although not necessaryAbout McInnes Wilson We are a full-service firm with 53 principals providing high quality legal advisory services across Australia.
