Responsibilities will include:
Preparation and amendments to documents and correspondence (including collating court documents and briefs) Monthly billing and accounts management Diary and email management Taking and screening calls Organising meetings and liaising with clients Managing confidential information Maintaining the Practice Document Management system (Filepro) Opening and closing files Carrying out various government searches (ASIC, AFSA, Infotrack, Citec) Involvement in basic debt recovery matters General and ad hoc administration support This role is perfect for you if you have a background in commercial litigation and enjoy working with a team that has a passion for what they do. We are looking for a likeminded individual who, in addition to possessing technical excellence, is able to work collaboratively in a team to get things done.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have two (2+) years' experience working in a law firm within a Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice area (or similar role) and be highly organised. You should be able to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads, use your initiative, and demonstrate exemplary attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills are essential, as are excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client file management software (Filepro).
