Legal Secretary

This is an exciting opportunity for a job-seeker to join a busy inner-city criminal law firm. We are seeking a vibrant and hard-working person to join our team in a receptionist/PA role on a full-time basis.
Primary Responsibilities Communicate with clients by telephone and in the office Open files, maintain files, and archive files once completed Undertake typing and word processing of documents Prepare and compile briefs for counsel Prepare and register outgoing and incoming mail Render receipts and invoices Undertake town work including filing and serving of documents Be familiar, or quickly become familiar with, the LEAP document management system and Legal Aid grants online Our firm represents a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. A high level of interpersonal and communication skills is critical. The role will also require a high proficiency in technology and the use of word processing programs. Some experience in an office environment or customer service background would also be highly beneficial.
