Legal Secretary | Disputes & Insolvency (Brisbane)We are seeking a talented and motivated Legal Secretary to join our growing, national firm in our highly respected Disputes and Insolvency team. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team and will have the opportunity to work with some of our largest clients.Your new roleOur ideal candidate will have some experience in a general administration role. Prior experience in a legal setting would be advantageous but is not required. Accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism will be essential in this role, as you will be responsible for supporting our legal team and ensuring that documents are prepared in a timely manner.Other duties will include:Drafting various legal documents such as briefs, affidavits, and general correspondence.Preparing and issuing tax invoices to clientsDrafting cost agreementsScheduling meetings and organising calendarsFile management, saving emails and correspondence to filesAnswering and making phone callsLiaising with stakeholders, including clients, Lawyers, Barristers and PrincipalsOpening new files and undertaking conflict searchesOther general administrative tasksRole requirementsMinimum 1-2 years secretarial experience in a legal practiceHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsConfidence in building lasting relationships with colleagues and clientsOutstanding time management and a strong commitment to consistencyA natural inclination for taking initiativeA self-starter but also thrives in a collaborative work environmentFamiliarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous, although not necessaryYour new teamAs one of the largest teams in the Firm, the Disputes and Insolvency team are a diverse and energetic team, working together to navigate complex legal cases.
