These roles are crucial to the decision-making process on an individual's eligibility for a Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.

Blue Card Services is responsible for administering Queensland's working with children check system (also known as the blue card system) by assisting organisations to be child safe, screening & monitoring people providing services to children in regulated environments and preventing people with high-risk histories from working with children under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.

The Eligibility Assessment team assesses police or other adverse information to determine whether an applicant is eligible to hold a blue card.
This assessment occurs following receipt of a blue card application or following advice from the police that a person who already holds a blue card has had a change in their criminal history.

The Eligibility Assessment team also actions changes in police and disciplinary information (including suspensions) and conducts all review hearings and appeals in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).

Do you possess:
• The capability to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000?
• The ability to apply legislative knowledge in conducting risk assessments?
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities?
• Strong written and verbal communication skills?
• The ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple cases?
• A steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of children?
