As it continues to expand its portfolio, The Company seeks a skilled Legal Counsel specializing in property to join a dynamic property team.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert legal advice on relevant legislation and industry trends also on property transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, disposals, DA work, and all aspects of ongoing ownership.Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, such as contracts, vendor finance agreements, and agreements to lease.Conduct due diligence and manage legal risks associated with property investments.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, construction, and project management teams, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Represent the company in negotiations and disputes as required, often with a technical backdrop such as compulsory purchase or decontamination.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Law; admission to practice as a solicitor in Victoria and ideally other states.Probably a minimum of 5/6 years post-admission experience in property law, particularly leasing and purchases/disposals, although attitude and aptitude are more important than years of experience as such.Strong knowledge of property legislation and regulations, including but not limited to The Retail Leasing Acts.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer:Key formative role in a fast-moving and ambitious culture.Intricate problems to solve in properties at all stages of the asset lifecycle from land banking through long-term operational life to redevelopment.Generous salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
