Legal Counsel Privacy

Our client is a Queensland-based company managing significant data assets, and due to business growth, they have created an exciting new role to spearhead the development of a best-in-class privacy framework. This position is being offered as a nine to 12 month contract. 

This position has been created to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company's privacy management framework and from time to time there will be assistance needed with overflow of corporate and commercial matters. 

We are keen to brief candidates who have demonstrated: 
Working directly with businesses to shape the privacy practices and compliance function. Provision of privacy, data protection and emerging technologies advice impacting the business. Advising on content and data strategies and associated privacy compliance issues, including in relation to the collection, use, disclosure, and storage of information.  Privacy threshold and risk assessments.  Other duties and responsibilities involved in privacy law work and the leading of a privacy law function.  The successful applicant will be a mid-level Lawyer with 5+ year PAE ideally gained at a well-known Australian or international law firm and/or in-house team.
