Your new role
You will sit in a team of high-performing individuals, managed by strong leaders from top tier backgrounds. Your role will include but not limited to:Advising on potentially contentious and regulatory matters involving the organisation;Advising on statutory obligations and assisting with enquiries and communications with regulatory authorities.Assisting with responses to subpoenas and regulatory notices and advising the firm's auditors on their obligations to report breaches of the law by clients to regulatory authorities;Assisting with the review, legal analysis and preparation of advice on a variety of client engagements and supplier agreements, working closely with the organisation's risk and compliance teamsWhat you'll need to succeedAdmitted to practice as a Lawyer in AustraliaIdeally 3-6 years PAE, practicing in commercial litigationExperience gained in a top tier/mid-tier firm and/or similar large corporation would be highly regarded.Experience in advising on court processes and statutory obligations (such as responding to subpoenas, regulatory notices, and breach reporting)Experience working within teams of lawyers, supporting and consulting senior lawyers;Experience and confidence in dealing with and assisting senior management (both in written and verbal communications), including an ability to draft clear and precise legal documents and communications;What you'll get in returnUnique in-house litigation opportunityFlexible work environment (3 days in office, two days from home)Career development (opportunity to progress)Build your in-house legal experience within a leading international companyWork within a high performing team of lawyers that produce high quality work and have strong mentors/leadershipAttractive salary package26 weeks parental leaveOverseas secondments and work up to 4 weeks from anywhere in AustraliaWhat you need to do now
