To learn more about our company, or to view the current projects we are working on, visit www.developmentwa.com.au Responsibilities and Accountabilities: In this role you will develop strong working relationships across Development WA through the provision of timely advisory services ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks and assisting in the resolution of legal issues.
The role includes instructing and responding to our panel of external lawyers.
Your role will cover a broad range of property and other commercial matters, including contracts, construction, corporate governance and adherence to legislation About you To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes: A degree in law and admitted to legal practice in Western Australia and membership of an appropriate professional body.
Possession of a current practising certificate enabling to provide legal advice within Western Australia.
Strong post-qualified experience in commercial or contract law and/or property law, construction, administrative law and statutory interpretation.
Ability to manage competing demands and meet strict time frames in a dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong written communications skills with a proven ability to produce legal, policy and regulatory documents of high quality and accuracy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal issues to key internal stakeholders.
Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships within the organisation and with a variety of stakeholders in the legal and external environment.
Work in a collaborative working environment with strong interpersonal, organisational, and commercial skills.
Development WA is highly desirable.
