Job requisition ID: REQ-7062991 We are currently seeking a lawyer to join our Sydney-based in-house legal team within the Lendlease Construction business. In this busy and rewarding role, you will be a key source of knowledge to the business, providing strategic and commercially astute legal advice and representing the business externally to government and private clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
Our Construction business is renowned for market-leading project management, design, and construction services, predominantly in the defence, health, education, metro station, data centre, arts, mixed-use, commercial, and residential sectors.
We love a challenge and solving problems. Our clients come to us when it's important: to handle complexity, drive diversity, offer strategic and long-term value, and create innovative solutions. Regardless of the size, complexity, value, or geographic location of our projects, we are ready to respond to clients' briefs. Economies of scale, supply chain relationships, and strategic procurement models also allow us to drive significant value for our customers.
With an incredibly strong pipeline of projects, you will be heavily involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of a project. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Legal, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders, including the Construction Executive Management Team, to provide proactive, strategic, and quality legal advice across the full lifecycle of a project: from project inception, tendering, conversion, through to project mobilisation and delivery (including support with issue/dispute management).
A tertiary education in law and extensive post-qualification legal experience of at least 5 years PQE, including exposure to a variety of major projects within the construction sector, will be essential. You will ideally have worked for a well-respected firm or top-tier construction group. Experience in construction and relevant ancillary legal areas including commercial law, litigation, and insolvency will be preferred.
If this sounds like the ideal next role in your career, please apply now!
