We operate nationally with approximately 3,500 staff in over 70+ sites across Australia.About the roleReporting to the Head of Legal, we are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the team on a permanent basis where you will play a vital role in managing legal risks to support and enhance our competitive position.In this position, you will be delivering valued services for a large and complex business that is investing in new assets, technology, infrastructure, and strategic locations.What you'll be responsible forConduct legal and factual research to collate findings, and inform business and legal decisions.Review laws and standards to implement, update and maintain the organization's policies, standards, and procedures.Advise on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the business and its offerings.Skills you'll needPersuades others to shift their views and/or behaviours with the goal of reaching consensus.Critical thinking.Identifies and synthesizes patterns and trends amongst various sources of information to reach a meaningful conclusion, perspective or insight.Accurately identifies and rectifies discrepancies or errors that exist in information and deliverables.
