As a member of the Legal team, you'll play a crucial role in protecting the company's interests and supporting corporate operations and compliance matters in Australia.
What You'll Do: Review, draft, edit, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, and residential property purchase agreements.Advise on marketing materials, website copy, promotional rules, and consumer communications.Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure compliance with global corporate policies.Anticipate and guard against legal and compliance risks by conducting research and providing analysis and advice.Occasional work travel may be required.Our Ideal Candidate: A qualified lawyer in Australia (or other relevant jurisdiction) with 4-7+ years of experience in a recognized law firm or in-house legal department.Law degree from a top-ranked law school.Fluency in English is required.Significant contract drafting experience.Expertise in consumer law, data protection issues, and compliance.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn new practice areas and become familiar with laws of other jurisdictions.Ability to handle detailed-oriented legal work independently with minimal supervision.Experience in trade promotions, gambling, lotteries, and/or gaming laws is a plus.Knowledge of charity laws is a plus.What to Expect: Competitive salary and benefits package, including employee stock option plan (ESOP).A diverse and inclusive workplace where all people can bring their authentic selves to work.Funky Harbourside offices.Hybrid 3:2 workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
