Globally, this organisation is part of a portfolio business of a US$5 billion NYSE-listed conglomerate.About the roleIn this newly created role, you will report to the General Counsel and Company Secretary and be part of a small team supporting the Australian business. You will also work regularly with global legal colleagues in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, and China to share ideas and knowledge.You will have a broad, commercial legal role with a focus on technology and commercial contracting. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of technology contracts including SaaS contracts, technology procurement, outsourcing, cloud computing and software licensing agreements.You will also assist the General Counsel and Company Secretary with privacy and data protection matters, other general commercial contracts, and corporate legal matters.About youYou will be a commercial lawyer with 3-6 years' PQE in commercial legal matters, and an interest in technology law. Any experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology contracts will support your success in this role.You will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously when required, though you will receive excellent mentoring and professional development from experienced senior lawyers with top-tier law firm experience.What this role offers youThis role offers the opportunity to join a successful, global business with a market-leading position in the education sector.
