About the Company
Costa Asset Management (CAM) is the investment office for the families of Robert and Anthony Costa. Established in 2011 on the partial sale of Costa Group, CAM has invested in a diverse and robust portfolio of assets to drive the future growth of funds under management. Asset classes include fixed income securities, Australian and international equities, security backed lending, agriculture property, Australian and international property, venture capital and private equity investments.
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with other members of the legal team, the primary focus of the role is to provide commercially astute legal advice to the CAM business, including its joint venture businesses. This work includes:

Drafting and advising on contractual arrangements;
Drafting trust deeds and documents for establishing trusts;
Assisting with due diligence in relation to acquisitions or sales of assets/companies;
Intellectual property advice and trade mark searches;
AFSL compliance;
Assisting with corporate secretarial services;
Estate planning.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate offers quality post qualification experience of 2 to 3 years in general commercial and contracts law, preferably gained in a well-regarded firm. This experience will involve high level contract drafting and review skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Any exposure to basic tax laws or general financial concepts is beneficial but not essential.
Skills and Attributes
You are confident, able to develop relationships within the company and with key external stakeholders, and able to provide commercially astute and pragmatic advice. The position requires an eye for technical detail but also an appreciation of commercial implications. You are smart and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
