Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel – VIC & TAS, and as part of an engaged, collaborative, supportive yet fast-paced legal team, you will:
Support internal, multi-disciplinary clients, within a committed, dynamic and encouraging work environment, by reviewing, negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts, including consultancy agreements.
Provide advice and undertake legal research on general legal issues that arise from day to day in a global consulting firm, including corporate law, corporate governance and compliance matters.
Support the legal team in managing claims (including professional indemnity) and litigation, and to understand and analyse claims.
Coordinate and manage specific legal projects such as the delivery of legal training to the business.
Champion the use of AI and digital products - looking for opportunities to contribute ideas and approaches with a view to streamline and increase efficiencies.
What you will bring to the team:
Australian Practising Certificate with ideally 2-3 years PQE, preferably with a top or mid-tier law firm or in an in-house environment.
Completion of science or engineering degree will be viewed favourably but is not a requirement. This is a legal role that presents opportunities to leverage a science/engineering background.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in collating, organising and analysing data.
Highly curious with a collaborative, team focused mindset.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
This role is based in GHD's CBD offices in Melbourne.
