The ROLE
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:
Assisting in managing acquisitions, divestments, and ensuring compliance and smooth transitions. Providing expert legal advice on acquisitions, contracts, heads of agreements, and government regulations. Ensuring legal compliance across all business activities, offering guidance on lease matters, disputes, and contract negotiations. Reviewing and negotiating third-party supplier contracts to secure favorable terms. Briefing external counsel for legal proceedings as required and managing relationships with external advisors. Conducting legal research. Participating in internal meetings, offering legal insights to support Senior Leadership Team decisions. What YOU bring to the table
You will be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia (ideally 4+ years PQE), with prior experience from a reputable private practice and/or in-house team. Bachelor of Laws or equivalent. Good working knowledge of commercial, corporate, and property laws. Proven experience with acquisitions and divestments. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with strong time and practice management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams. What's NEXT?
