The roleWe are looking for a first-class in-house commercial lawyer to join the FrankieOne team, based in Melbourne. You will lead us in a variety of legal matters associated with executing the FrankieOne strategy both in Australia and abroad. You'll need to have strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and ideally have experience working in a company with new products and legal issues that are faced by a fast-growing technology company.
Your ticket to success:Lead the way. As a key legal 'Frankie', you take charge of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating an array of critical legal documents, from commercial contracts and master services agreements to statements of work with our customers, partners, and suppliers. You also navigate investor agreements with FrankieOne's investors, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.Risk and Opportunity Awareness. You identify and communicate areas of risk and opportunity in commercial legal documents, flagging issues requiring commercial focus and driving proactive resolution.Collaborate with Externals. For complex matters, you work alongside external counsel, leveraging their expertise when additional legal support is needed to achieve the best outcomes for FrankieOne.Knowledge Builder. You research legal, privacy, and compliance issues in existing and new markets, keeping FrankieOne ahead of the curve in regulatory landscapes. By identifying, advising, and resolving legal and compliance risks, you safeguard our operations across the globe.Privacy Champion. As our Data Privacy Officer, you take ownership of supporting compliance obligations in Australia and abroad, particularly regarding data privacy and protection. Acting as the point of contact for GDPR-related inquiries, you ensure our Privacy Policy is robust and up to date.Strategic Partner. You collaborate across teams—Management, Sales, Marketing, Growth, and Product—providing insightful advice and helping to implement both internal and public-facing policies. By supporting innovative fintech initiatives and enabling domestic and international growth, you directly contribute to FrankieOne's vision.Customer-Centric. With a keen focus on FrankieOne's customers, you work alongside other functions to roll out initiatives that resonate with their needs while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.Advocate and Enabler.
