About the role of Legal Counsel - Contracts A dynamic opportunity awaits a skilled legal professional interested in joining Umwelt's expanding legal team to deliver quality legal support across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
Reporting to the Legal and Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering reliable, precise, and practical support to a range of professionals across the organisation.
Additional key responsibilities include: Reviewing, drafting, interpreting, and negotiating consulting agreements and related contractual documents within agreed timeframes.Analysing all requirements and provisions in contracts, to manage risk and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.Contributing to contract improvement, training, compliance management and enhanced risk management.Aligning contracts with corporate goals and objectives.Contributing to contract negotiations and coordination of all changes in and addendums to existing contracts, ensuring key deadlines are met.Identifying potential and coordinating improvements to existing policies and procedures and tools for the recording of information about contracts and the production of risk reports.The ideal candidates will possess: Bachelor of Law (LL.B).3+ years' experience in a similar role, with significant exposure as a contract and commercial specialist in a project-orientated role.Knowledge and understanding of the Australian corporate legal, governance and contracts management landscape to support business governance and compliance processes.An ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment, with strong organisational and analytical skills.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under pressure without compromising on quality.Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with a range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for Umwelt's projects and business opportunities.This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a collaborative and supportive team environment within an organisation that truly believe their people are the foundation of their success.
