As part of its growth, they are seeking a Legal Counsel – Commercial to provide high-quality legal advice to the business and ensure compliance with relevant laws.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier, distribution, and partnership agreements.Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business operations.Support procurement, sales, and marketing teams in managing contracts and legal inquiries.Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyright.Identify legal risks and provide strategic solutions to mitigate them.Oversee dispute resolution, providing guidance on claims and conflicts.Conduct due diligence for strategic business initiatives and partnerships.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the business.Deliver legal training to internal stakeholders, promoting compliance and legal awareness.Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their impact on the business.Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and contract management.Manage relationships with external legal advisors, ensuring cost efficiency and effective service.Qualifications and ExperienceLegal qualification with a current Australian practising certificate.Proven experience in commercial law, ideally in-house within retail, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management experience.Solid understanding of intellectual property, competition law, and consumer protection regulations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.A proactive approach, with the ability to balance legal considerations and commercial objectives.High attention to detail, excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.Team player with a commitment to continuous improvement.Application DetailsPlease note that current Australian work rights are required; sponsorship is not available for this position.Apply online with a cover letter and CV, or contact:Ivan Pignataro | Director, D'Arcy WeilM: E: #J-18808-Ljbffr
