Location:   This is a hybrid opportunity where you will work 1 in the office, 4 days a week from home.

About the role Leadership: This role will report to Kasey Richmond, Associate General Counsel, APAC.
She is based in Brisbane and leads the APAC Legal team.
Our tight knit APAC legal team consists of three lawyers, and you will have the benefit of being part of the global Insight legal team consisting of approximately 25 lawyers throughout Canada, North America, and Europe.
The team is passionate about technology and strives to provide timely and commercially focused legal advice that helps the business achieve its goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about commercial contracts and technology and wants to join a dynamic and global legal team.
As a Legal Counsel, we will count on you to provide accurate, effective, and informed guidance to the business, enabling Insight to comply with its legal and ethical obligations, and achieve its strategic objectives.
Along the way, you will get to: Provide sales & pre-sales contract support, including the drafting, review, interpretation, and negotiation of general and complex commercial contracts including Master Services Agreements, Product Resale Agreements, Professional and Managed Services contracts for primarily Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Provide Legal support to the bids and tender team, including the review of bid contracts, drafting departures, and providing contract support and advice.
Preparation, review, and negotiation of partner, supplier, and reseller contracts.
Be a trusted partner and source of information and assistance to the business.
Assist in the development and management of privacy and compliance programs for the APAC region.

What we're looking for Completed law degree from an Australian University with the ability to practice in New South Wales or Queensland on an unrestricted practising certificate.
A minimum of 3 years' post admission experience at a top or mid-tier law firm and/or in-house legal position with a background in commercial contracting and technology law.
Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with ability to draft, review and negotiate complex agreements.
Detail oriented with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing priorities in a fast-paced, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
