This position will appeal to a capable commercial/corporate lawyer who is ready to join a thriving business and a small, friendly, and dynamic top-tier legal team.
A broad and commercially-based role, this position will encourage the in-house counsel to play a key role in the business, supported by an excellent culture and environment.

Role This role is broad and will provide substantial responsibility and opportunity.
You will work closely with the General Counsel (ex top-tier) in a small team, interacting with GMs and Corporate Managers throughout the business.
You will assist with the legal function and become involved in significant legal matters, including general commercial, corporate/mergers & acquisitions, property/leasing, projects, litigation, and insurance.
An understanding of the due diligence process is essential.
You will also work on significant contracts, risk mitigation, and compliance.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills are required, along with the ability to manage processes and engage effectively with people.

Skills/Experience To qualify for this position, you will need to have at least 1 year PQE and up to about 4 PQE, and be a front-end commercial/corporate lawyer.
Training in a well-regarded firm or in-house experience is important, and the ability to interact well with people from various backgrounds will assist in your success.
A commercially-minded approach is preferred over a strictly black-letter law focus.
