Legal Assistants (all levels) Personal Injury (Asbestos & Dust Diseases)$65K to $95K total package, based on experience

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our Asbestos/Dust Diseases practice. This position is open to candidates of all experience levels, though a minimum of one year in personal injury law is required. Job tasks and responsibilities Provide high-level administrative and practice management support to a senior lawyer in the Asbestos/Dust Diseases Team;Deliver excellent service to our clients;Draft court documents, prepare/compile briefs, letters and correspondence;Diary, email and task management;Arrange meetings and appointments;Liaise with clients, law firms, barristers, court staff, insurers, doctors and other third parties;Develop and maintain billing and invoicing systems;General file management and work with the lawyer to advance files and achieve optimal file velocity;Develop, refine and maintain practice management system and processes;Monitor critical dates to ensure deadlines are met;Handle telephone, general enquiries and requests from clients;Maintain data records and generate reports;Open and close files.Skills and experience At least 1 year of experience in Personal Injury is essential;Empathetic, confident and personable with a genuine interest in Personal Injury Law;Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;High level of professionalism, exceptional client service skills and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care;Superior organisational and task management skills, ability to manage conflicting priorities and respond to rapidly changing needs of a fast-paced practice;Ability to confidently and professionally communicate with clients, referrers, health professionals, Courts, barristers, lawyers and Government agencies;Technology-savvy and proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;Ability to show initiative;An interest in contributing to the development, maintenance and refining of systems and processes within the practice.Why Gordon Legal?
