We operate as a close-knit team that feels like family.We're looking forAn experienced and passionate legal assistant / law clerk / paralegal to help us maintain our high standard. As the newest addition to our team, the legal assistant will play a pivotal role in keeping the office functioning efficiently, from coordinating meetings to maintaining complete and accurate files. This person will build collaborative working relationships with our solicitors and be a strong liaison with our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team. This is a challenging role with varied responsibilities and meaningful opportunities for learning and growth.Objectives of this roleEnsure the office is running smoothly at all timesSupport solicitors in optimizing their billable timeTrack deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely mannerRepresent the organization with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients and court officialsMaintain strict confidentiality of organizational and client informationThe roleThis is a permanent part-time role – 3 days per week – to start as soon as possibleThe role includes but is not limited to:Proofing/editing documentsDrafting correspondence/documentsFiling documents with CourtsPerform legal and background research when requestedAttending to client callsDiary/email managementTyping/transcribing dictationsElectronic file managementGeneral office dutiesRequired skills and qualifications2+ years experience working in a fast-paced professional environment (preferably in a legal environment)Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft programsExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational skillsClient-focused with a confident and professional telephone mannerMUST LOVE DOGSBenefitsAward rate salary – dependent on skills and experienceLeaders who are genuinely interested in your growth and developmentAn annual well-being dayBirthday lunchMonthly team-building activitiesJob Type: Part-timePay: From $26.05 per hourExpected hours: 24 per weekBenefits:Employee mentoring programProfessional development assistanceSchedule:8 hour shiftApplication Question(s):Please detail your relevant experience working in fast-paced office environments.If successful, when are you available to commence this role?Work Authorisation:Australia (Preferred)Work Location: In personApplication Deadline: 22/11/2024
