Legal Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our friendly team at WPC Lawyers in Melton.In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our Wills & Probate department, ensuring the smooth running of all files.What you'll be doingProviding comprehensive administrative and legal support to one of the directors, including but not limited to: drafting of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and letters to banks/institutions, calling in assets of the estates, preparing and sending letters to executors/beneficiaries, and preparing administration statements.Diary management and ensuring documents are pre-prepared for upcoming appointments and scheduling appointments when required.Handling incoming phone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and courteous manner.What we're looking forProven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar administrative role within a legal environment.Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and legal software (Smokeball).Positive and friendly attitude.About usWPC Lawyers is a rapidly growing law firm based in the western suburbs of Melbourne specialising in wills, probate, and conveyancing.
