The Opportunity We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Planning, Environment & Infrastructure (PEI) practice group.
Working Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm you will play a pivotal role in providing high level administrative support to Partner Peter G Butler and team of lawyers.
Your day will involve: Managing billing processes for your direct team.
Managing Partners internal and external appointments.
Assisting with meeting preparation.
Managing the travel of Partner and team members.
Assisting with document creation, editing, formatting, and finalisation.
Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email and in-person using a very professional and personable manner.
Coordinating and managing a broad variety of responsibilities and deliverables.
Skills & experience: The successful candidate will be an experienced Legal Assistant (Legal Secretary) who is wanting to build a long-lasting legal support career and who is ready for that next challenge.
To be successful in this role, you will be well organised and have a proactive approach to delivering your work and strong attention to detail.
You will also have: A minimum of 2 years' Legal Assistant (Secretary) experience.
Previous experience in diary management is essential.
Ability to anticipate Partner requirements to reduce administrative time.
Strong matter management and billing experience is essential (Aderant Expert is preferred though not essential).
Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
