This role provides administrative support to a Partner and team of Lawyers in the General Insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast-paced team.
You will be involved in a range of matters, including but not limited to:
telephone handling for the team; organising calendars and monitoring inboxes; sending emails, letters and briefs; saving and distributing incoming mail; filing, scanning and creating briefs; drafting documentation as required; file opening, conflict searches and closing files; preparing reports; billing and submitting invoices; reviewing, receipting and EFT of trust payments; address/ASIC/rego/property/title searches; creating paralegal roster; organising team meetings and events; liaising with internal and external stakeholders; assisting other legal assistants as required; and other ad-hoc administration duties as required. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
a minimum of two years of legal assistant experience; experience in a busy insurance litigation practice is desirable; outstanding organisational skills; excellent communication skills; a strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; and experience with Filesite and Aderant is preferred but not required.
