The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced family law Legal Assistant to join our Brisbane team on a full-time 12-month contract to cover a period of parental leave. We are seeking someone with strong administrative skills who can work independently but who also likes working as part of a team. You will have exceptional attention to detail, as well as great organisational and time management skills.
Duties of this role will include:
Preparation of correspondence and legal documents in consultation with work authors;Client communication and management;General diary management, including arranging appointments and other events;Collation and indexing of high volumes of documents for disclosure and briefs;Maintain electronic files in a timely and accurate manner from receipt of instruction to file closure;Maintain and monitor matters on the Commonwealth Courts Portal;Undertaking research tasks;Monthly billing and debtor control; andGeneral administrative support.The Benefits
