Job Description Greeting clients and other persons attending the officeAnswering and transferring telephone callsDrafting emails, correspondence and other legal documents to clients and other interested partiesPreparing briefs for CounselArranging conferences and meetings and general diary managementAttending Court to file or uplift documentsEntering time and creating draft bills and invoicesSubmitting applications and extensions on Legal Aid Grants OnlineAttending to other general office duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, archiving, collecting post and banking. The Successful Applicant At least two years of experience as a Legal Assistant.Preferably experience in criminal law (however not essential, other areas of law will be considered).Law students will not be considered for the role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A strong work ethic and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a busy team.Dedication and determination to provide a high level of service to our lawyers and clients.
