Litigation Support Officer (Prison Advice Service) In this diverse and challenging role, you will help the lawyers in the specialist advice clinic with administrative activities associated with providing legal advice.
You will also assist in managing video conferencing requests.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the following:
Manage administrative activities associated with providing legal advice including liaising with correctional staff at the prisons for advice appointment bookings.
Help the lawyers prepare for advice sessions including gathering relevant information, keeping detailed file notes and preparing relevant correspondence and court documents.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Office of Director of Public Prosecutions and Department of Justice in relation to gathering information relevant to a clients' matter.
Provide information to clients including prisoners via video conference, telephone or face to face at the prisons and help with the preparation of legal aid applications.
You will have:
Legal administrative experience (ideally in relation to criminal law) and able to use information technology systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Effective communication skills with stakeholders and clients with complex needs, providing courteous, prompt and professional services.
Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders as well as team members and actively contribute to team planning.
Flexibility to take on additional duties as required, demonstrating the ability to reschedule or reorganise work to reflect changes in priority.
