Receptionist and Legal Administrative Assistant – Nexus Chambers, Gouger Street, Adelaide Part-time: (0.6 - 0.8 FTE eg. 3-4 days) Circa $65k / year plus super (subject to FTE) Work in a prestigious barristers' chambers Prime CBD location on Gouger Street opposite the Adelaide Central Market About the Chambers Nexus Chambers is a commercial/civil barristers' chambers centrally located on Gouger Street in a modern corporate office building, providing independent representation across a range of areas of law throughout Australia including commercial and civil litigation.
About the Role An opportunity has arisen for an energetic and confident Receptionist/ Administration Assistant to join the practice. You will manage front-of-house operations while maintaining high standards of professionalism and presentation, and ensuring that each day runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role would ideally suit an experienced administrator/ office manager or university student studying law with a customer service background and wishing to gain exposure to a commercial legal practice.
The role ideally commences in the week of 18 November 2024, although some brief training may be required before that date. The successful candidate may start earlier, if available.
Responsibilities Greet visitors and set up meeting rooms Answer and direct phone enquiries Print and collate documents Ensure common areas are kept tidy Account management via Xero Manage office inventory including stationary and groceries Calendar management Skills & Experience Professional customer service skills Ability to work autonomously and use initiative under limited supervision Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality Previous experience in a corporate reception environment (not necessarily legal) is desirable Experience using Xero, MYOB or other account management software Culture & Benefits Be a part of a prestigious legal practice amongst the buzz of the Adelaide legal precinct Flexibility to allow for a healthy work-life balance Purpose-built offices with a bespoke, contemporary fit-out Secure bicycle storage and access to public transport How to Apply Please apply via Indeed or email resume and cover letter to
