Legal Administration Assistant - Entry Level Intellectual Property We are an Intellectual Property firm providing legal advice and services to our clients with respect to patents, trademarks and designs and are located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We require an additional entry level part-time / casual team member to assist with the tasks detailed below.
We provide flexible hours and parking and are offering a pro-rata remuneration package in the vicinity of $49,500 to $53,000 p.a. depending upon the skill and experience of the candidate.
Candidates must have completed at least one (1) year of legal studies and the position is particularly suited to law students yet to complete their studies and preferably in their second or third year. The position offers flexible part-time hours of approximately 15 to 20 hours per week with a preference for successful candidates to complete their hours across four or five days each week whereby total weekly hours may be increased during non-academic periods and reduced during the academic year to suit study schedules.
THE POSITION INVOLVES Recording and monitoring deadlines Document preparation in accordance with guidance Communicating with local and overseas clients and representatives Diary and calendar management Co-ordinating tasks to timely fulfil requirements Transcription of digital dictation Amending documents subsequent to review Attending meetings and recording minutes Distribution of email / postal mail Entering time charges and disbursements THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS ARE REQUIRED / PREFERABLE A positive helpful attitude Ability to work within a team or independently Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with Outlook Experience operating diary management software A natural attention to detail and ability to work under pressure within time constraints To join our friendly team, please respond to this advertisement with your CV together with references.
