Full-Time, continuing Lecturer (tenure-track equivalent) positions in the Discipline of Finance
Contribute to world-class Finance research and education within the University of Sydney Business School, in a stimulating, collaborative and supportive environment
Base Salary Academic Level B $122,830 p.a. - $145,858 p.a. + 17% superannuation + competitive market loading

About the opportunity
The University of Sydney welcomes applications for the Discipline of Finance. With the introduction of the new University of Sydney Enterprise Agreement 2023-26, the University has committed to establishing and advertising new continuing education-focused (EF) and teaching and research academic positions.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching in your field of expertise while you also continue to build substantial research contributions, expertise, connections, and impact. As part of this role, you will also contribute to the governance, leadership, and engagement work of your employing school.

The Discipline of Finance at the University of Sydney Business School is recruiting talented and ambitious individuals to join our dynamic and diverse team. Your contribution to these positions is crucial in further elevating the Discipline's profile and impact locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Discipline welcomes applications from Finance academics who have expertise in emerging fields of research, including financial technology, digital finance, financial innovations, ESG transformations and the application of big data and AI in Finance.
Your key responsibilities for these roles will be to:

Work successfully in a collegial team environment
Develop and maintain an outstanding record of academic excellence in research
Contribute to an ambitious research culture in a spirit of positivity, collaboration and cooperation
Engage with the School's expanding program of multi-disciplinary and industry research collaborations
Design and deliver innovative educational offerings to culturally and linguistically diverse learners
Demonstrate a strong commitment to lifelong learning and responsible management education
Contribute actively to the governance and service activities within the Discipline, School and University.

Minimum Requirements:

Completed a PhD in Finance or a closely related field. A PhD under examination or near completion is acceptable
Experience in assessment, feedback and learning by design
Experience in contributing to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes
A record of attracting competitive, external funding to support their research
A track record of high-quality research outputs appropriate to the discipline that is on an upward trajectory
Demonstrated experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities
A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching
High-level written and verbal communication skills
