About the officeNotre Dame's UniPath Program is designed for year 12 high school students who would like to pursue an undergraduate degree but are not enrolled in a full ATAR load.
Students can begin their pathway into uni while completing year 12.
UniPath is a 12-week pathway program taught on campus by university academics.
About the roleThe Unipath Coordinator serves as an academic staff member responsible for managing Unipath programs (inschool enabling programs) at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
This role involves coordinating curriculum development, facilitating student engagement, and ensuring the effective delivery of academic programs in consultation with the National Director of Pathways, academic staff, and other key stakeholders.
The Unipath Coordinator will enhance program quality, monitor student progress, and implement innovative teaching strategies to ensure the programs' success.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagement and administration of the UniPath programs, including liaison with Course Coordinators, the Head(s) of School(s), the Chair(s) of Teaching and Learning Committees where appropriate.Align the UniPath program and its constituent courses with Pathways and University policies and strategic objectives.Provide oversight of course offerings and timetabling to ensure student progression.Promote the UniPath program accurately and effectively in University materials (e.g.
websites), and at relevant University events (e.g.
Orientation, Information evenings, Open Day and high school parent/student information sessions).Where applicable, provide oversight for engagement of academic sessionals.Operate with a high level of pastoral care in line with the University Objects, modelling desired behaviours for students.Ensure program design and delivery is relevant to qualification level (Australian Qualifications Framework) and consistent with curriculum design policies and procedures, professional accreditation standards, relevant regulatory frameworks and threshold standards, as applicable.Report on the program to relevant Teaching and Learning Committees, including oversight of course and program changes associated with the program and strategic planning of the program.Refine the program's coherence, academic standards, and graduate outcomes through oversight of contemporary curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy in line with the University's Learning and Teaching Assessment Policy.Liaise with external stakeholders, including graduates and alumni, secondary schools, and accreditation and registration authorities where appropriate.Monitor the student experience and graduate outcomes through internal and external quality assurance data sets and measures.Work with students as partners in the planning and provision of curricula and co-curricular experiences.Provide course and program planning advice for enrolled and prospective students including advice on pathways to further study where appropriate.Qualifications, skills & experienceA level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and/or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
