Responsibilities Provide expert academic analysis and advice to students regarding academic progression, academic standing and pathways to major/minor/specialisations and pathways to postgraduate degrees within the SchoolDeliver high-quality research-informed teaching into relevant foundational courses within the Programs offered by the SchoolProvide high-level pastoral care and support to students with respect to financial, social, cultural, personal, physical and mental health needs during their studies; and referring appropriately to student services, academic support services and other services offered by the UniversityProvide expert academic advice to Head of School in relation to potential academic integrity/misconduct and other matters such as AHPRA notifications/ fitness to practiceLeading and supporting academic research/scholarship projects related to pastoral care and the student experienceMeeting regularly with and supporting the Program and Clinical Coordinators and the Head of School in relation to matters regarding student welfare or progressWorking with the Indigenous Office to provide targeted and specific academic support, and pastoral care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students within the SchoolParticipating in information events, orientation, enrolment and other events and functions related to students, academic progress and pastoral careEnsuring coherence in function between Student Matters position on each campus and aligning future direction/strategy for this position across both campusesABOUT YOU Appropriate qualified/registered as a Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist/Clinical Exercise Physiologist or qualification in a health area related to the School's programs.Extensive experience in provision of high-quality learning & teaching in a University setting and demonstrated experience with whole of program coordination and associated academic governanceExperience in the provision of high-level student support/advice relating to academic progress, clinical education/practicum requirements and professional practiceExperience and knowledge in delivery of at least one of the of relevant health-related degrees within the SchoolIf applicable, current unrestricted registration with AHPRATeaching experience, experience in academic governance, experience outside tertiary education, professional contributions and/or technical achievementThe capacity to contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation High level excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate with students and staffWell developed research skills and experienceSound judgement and problem solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamStrongly committed to and supportive of the Objects of the UniversityDesirable Experience in teaching / providing student advice and support in a variety of formats, including the effective use of online technologiesPostgraduate qualification in University Learning and TeachingRelevant higher degree in field of health related to School programsCONTACT US For enquiries about the role or to request a copy of the Position Description, please contact Janette Tam Talent Acquisition Partner at ****** HOW TO APPLY Please apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
