This is a part-time ongoing position (teaching focused) at Academic Level A, $$73,967- $100,373 working pro-rata per annum at 29.4 hrs (0.8 EFT) per week.
About the role
The overall purpose of this role is to make significant contributions to the teaching effort in the speech pathology discipline, specifically in the teaching of theoretical units of study (50% of role) and the supervision of speech pathology clinical skills (50% of role) and to contribute to the College through academic relevant administrative activities. An academic at this level is also expected to play a role in scholarship and professional activities.
The position will design and teach units of study in our speech pathology course and supervise clinical skill related units, including online and preparatory material. The position will be required to teach into the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the university and support the professional practicum program.

About the person
The successful incumbent will be someone with energy who is innovative, progressive and collaborative in the way they work. They will be an excellent communicator who interacts well with others across the College and the University. The Associate Lecturer in Speech Pathology will contribute to the strength of the discipline of Speech Pathology within the University by collaborating with Speech Pathology staff across First Year College and in the College of Sport, Health and Engineering in teaching.
Duties
Examples of duties you may perform include:

Supervise and provide quality feedback to speech pathology students undertaking clinical placement or simulation activities.
Work with Speech Pathology and relevant other staff to develop high quality materials to teach and convene units in the clinical and other components of the post-graduate and undergraduate Speech Pathology discipline.
Participate in administrative duties and attend discipline and college meetings as appropriate.
Independently prepare and deliver curriculum content, including unit coordination, marking, assessment and consultation with students.
Support the professional practicum program and enhance industry partnerships.
