Fantastic opportunity to join the School of Medical Sciences as a Lecturer in Sleep and Circadian Biology Full time, continuing position Base Salary from $122,830 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of Medical Sciences is recognised as one of the leading centres for medical science education in the world.

Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.
We are seeking an excellent academic (Level B) for the School of Medical Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine and Health who has expertise in the area of sleep biology and mental health.
The successful candidate will contribute to research and teaching to significantly advance the Neuroscience theme's capacity in these realms.
You will be expected to develop an independent and innovative research program focused on sleep biology and circadian rhythms, with a specific focus on mental health.
The candidate will also be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and provide mentorships to graduate students.
About you demonstrated analytical capacity in this field; including manuscript and research proposal preparation skills demonstrated by a solid track record of referred research publications a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent qualifications of research experience advanced technical and analytical skills related to sleep biology and mental health, including experience using Microsoft Office, ClockLab, Profusion EEG software, SPSS, Biorender, TopScan/Ethovision demonstrated capacity in a broad range of techniques, focusing on in vivo rodent trauma models, neuropharmacology, neurobehavior, neuroimaging (e.g., MRI), EEG, Telemertry, as well as cellular and molecular methods experience in successfully supervising and mentoring the development of research staff and/or a demonstrated trajectory of leadership capability experience in supervising and working with honours or postgraduate students within this discipline the ability to work both independently in a research environment and as part of an inter-disciplinary research team high level organization skills, with demonstrated capacity to establish and achieve goals significant experience in supervising and mentoring others.
