About the role
As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pedagogy, you will develop a new key leadership role in the area of pedagogy at UNE and nationally.
Your specific responsibilities include: leading initiatives in pedagogy across UNE and/or locally/nationally, bringing lived cultural experience to support our Indigenous students navigate the academic environment, working closely with the Professor of Indigenous Knowledge to enhance capacity in HASSE, collaborating with Academic and Professional staff in Education to support advancement of the profile of the School and UNE in regards to opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and you will be supported to contribute to Indigenous Knowledges research for the promotion of community knowledge and advancement.

About you
For Level B candidates, you will have enrolled in a doctorate and progressed a significant way towards the successful completion.

For Level C candidates, you will have a doctoral qualification in a discipline or topic relevant to pedagogy.

Both Level B and C will have a formal teaching qualification alongside demonstrated school teaching experience in this field, as well as previous demonstrated leadership in a school setting.

Experience in supervising higher degree research candidates, and mentoring and support early career academics is expected for Level C candidates only.
